After sifting through proposals for the past several weeks, we here at the OYFC office have chosen a developer for our new website. With so many great options it was hard to make a decision, but in the end we decided to go with MSI. The project is currently underway, and we hope to have the new site by the summer!

Just to give you guys a taste of what is to come, here are a few of the things you will be able to do on the new website.

• Create your own account to track the hours you have put in
• Share your progress on your facebook, twitter, and other social media accounts
• Search a database of jobs and volunteer opportunities

We have recently registered One Year For Cancer on GoodSearch. For those of you unfamiliar with the service, it donates roughly a penny for every search made in the name of our organization. It has been mentioned in the New York Times, on ABC News, CNN, and many other respectable news sources. Everyone here in the office is taking advantage of this amazing service.

If you want to help raise money for OYFC then go to their site. Make sure you type “One Year For Cancer” where it asks you what organization you are searching for. After that you can just search away! If you do not want to go to the website every time you would like to search you can install the toolbar here.
